Grizzy Hotz is a social worker currently living in Seattle. Grizzy competed as a storm poet in the 2015 Women of the World Poetry Slam in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Additionally, in 2015 Grizzy received her Master’s in Social Work and published her thesis on incorporating expressive arts therapy into social work practice. Grizzy has formerly worked as an art instructor for the Bakul Foundation, artist in residence for Darpana Academy of Performing Arts, claymation artist for Srishti – The Environmental Quiz show, and cashier at Home Depot. Griz’s work is mostly about her experiences with mental illness and loss.
